Issy Emeney
Issy has been writing in one way or another since her first job in public relations many years ago. She later became a full-time folk musician and songwriter, touring the British festival and folk club circuit with her musician husband.
Today she combines her musical life with painting, and writing for children. Her first picture book, Billy Brute, was published by Simon & Schuster in 2022, with a second to follow - both illustrated by Chris Mould.
Teaching has always been an important part of Issy’s creative life, and she is an experienced and popular workshop leader with both adults and children.
Issy and her husband live in Somerset with Albie the cat.
