Fiona Danks & Jo Schofield

Jo Schofield and Fiona Danks are on a mission to inspire children, young people and families to spend more time outside, discovering the wonders of the natural world.

Their  ten books published by Frances Lincoln are packed with practical and fun ideas to tempt children away from electronic devices and into the outdoors where the wild world will weave its magic upon them.

Fiona Danks has an ecology degree from Edinburgh University, a PGCE in Rural and Environmental Science from Bath College of Higher Education, and experience of working in environmental education for local Wildlife Trusts.  Fiona is Director of the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment (TOE), a charity which secures funds for the benefit of the local environment, supporting biodiversity, access to green spaces and the low carbon agenda.

Jo Schofield studied psychology at Exeter University and worked for an educational psychologist in London. She then became a commercial photographer in Australia, and on her return to the UK worked for national magazines, including Country Living. She has worked in primary schools, applying her creative knowledge to the classroom with children aged 6-9 years.
