Fiona Danks & Jo Schofield

Jo Schofield and Fiona Danks are on a mission to inspire children and families to spend more time outside, discovering the wonders of the natural world.

Their books are packed with practical and fun ideas to tempt young people away from electronic devices and into the outdoors where the wild world will weave its magic upon them.

Fiona has an ecology degree from Edinburgh University, a PGCE in Rural and Environmental Science from Bath College of Higher Education, and experience of working in environmental education for local Wildlife Trusts.

Jo studied psychology at Exeter University. She then became a commercial photographer in Australia, and on her return to the UK worked for national magazines, including Country Living. She has worked in primary schools, applying her creative knowledge to the classroom with children aged 6-9.

Their latest book, Make This Book Wild (Quarto), is on the inaugural The Week Junior Book Awards shortlist for Illustrated books.

They both live in Oxfordshire
