Esther Coombs
Esther graduated with merit from the Cambridge MA Children’s book illustration course in 2024, where she won the printmaking award for her most recent work, exploring the inky art of Tetra Pak printing.
She has won several design awards for her illustrated non-fiction series, Kids Can Cook, published by Button Books.
She is a part time Associate Lecturer at the University of the Creative Arts on the Visual Communication BA and also works for Animate Arts an organisation getting more art into primary schools. She can often be found drawing large scale window drawing or working on public art when not drawing for publication.
Esther is based in Kent, where she lives with her husband, daughter, incredibly floofy dog and a cat that just about puts up with them all. When she's not drawing or printing she can be found growing veg or making almost anything out of cardboard.
