Esther Coombs
Esther Coombs graduated with merit from the Cambridge MA Children’s book illustration course in 2024, where she won the printmaking award for her most recent work.
She has won several junior design gold awards and the Junior Library Guild (USA) gold award for her illustrated non fiction series Kids Can Cook.
She is a part time Associate Lecturer at the University of the Creative Arts on the Visual Communication BA and also works for Animate Arts an organisation getting more art into primary schools. She can often be found drawing large scale window drawing or working on public art when not drawing for publication.
She lives in Kent with her husband, daughter, floofy dog and a cat that just about puts up with them all. When she's not drawing or printing she can be found growing veg, walking the dog or making almost anything out of cardboard.
