Emily Machelle Bailey
Emily worked for many years in London theatres as a musical theatre actor, telling other people’s stories (or singing them!). Then she realised she had all these other words and pictures floating around her head, so now she spends her mornings wrestling them into stories, on the page.
After fifteen years travelling the world with her wild-hearted nomadic family, Emily settled in Bristol. She currently works part time for the literary organisation, Inked Voices.
She writes picture books texts about this big, wonderful, magical world and the interesting and sometimes mysterious people that inhabit it. Occasionally creatures that aren’t of this world sneak in too. She likes it when they do.
